| After the experience of the previous caricature (as mentioned before it was the first serious one after quite some time) I worked on Bud Spencer, another "companion" of my childhood. Again, painting digitally I had the freedom to change things drastically as the whole process was improvised - as usual. Using several film stills from a video file helped me to find references for certain sections, as there was not one single image that had every visual information I was looking for. The original idea I had in the beginning I discarded for the lack of reference and there is still room for improvement, but I guess it is better to work on another caricature instead! |

Oh, ich hab's erst jetzt gesehen ... danke dir, freut mich das es dir gefällt. Ich bin ja meistens unschlüssig, ob eine Karikatur wirklich gut getroffen ist. Wie bei Jedem (Schauspieler) gibt es nie "den" einen typischen Gesichtsausdruck.
Ja, ob eine Person in einer Karikatur gut getroffen ist, ist wahrscheinlich auch immer eine Frage, wie man den Karikierten persönlich "sieht" oder in Erinnerung hat.
Für mich funktioniert diese Karikatur aber wirklich richtig gut, weil ich sofort sehen kann, wie Bud Spencer hier mit seiner unverwechselbaren deutschen Synchronstimme (Wolfgang Hess) diese typischen rollende Laute von sich gibt, wenn er sich über irgendwas aufregt. Kann natürlich sein, das jeder da was anderes sieht.
Jetzt fehlt aber noch Terence Hill, oder?
