Here are some more character ideas for the project mentioned in the post before. I think as soon as I have a bit more spare time, I have to storyboard the plot ideas that are already there. So I won´t forget them. Actually I was quite surprised how the ideas flew in. Fingers crossed that it stays that way!

Fortführend vom letzten Blogeintrag sind hier ein paar neue Figurenideen. Sobald ich wieder etwas mehr Freizeit habe, muß ich unbedingt die Teile der Handlung storyboarden, die mir schon zugeflogen sind. Damit sie nicht in Vergessenheit geraten. Überrascht hatt mich nur die Flut an Ideen. Hoffentlich bleibt das so!

In the last days I did some more drawings for another shortfilm/series idea of mine. Of course they´re no final designs, just some sketches to keep going. Being quite annoyed how the work life turns out, I think it really is time to pursue own ideas and develop something myself.

Hier sind ein paar neue Zeichnungen für eine Kurzfilm/Serien-Idee. Es sind natürlich keine finalen Entwürfe, mehr um dran zu bleiben. Genervt vom Arbeitsleben, denke ich, daß es doch mal an der Zeit ist, eigene Ideen weiter zu spinnen.

Here is my recent try done in Sculptris. This little program is quite a gem (and freeware too). In a short periode of time you can get nice results (if you know what you want). I´m quite thrilled by the idea, in need of three dimensional references for animation or graphic novel, to sculpt digitally.

Hab mich mal wieder in Sculptris versucht. Das kleine aber feine Modellierungsprogramm ist wirklich klasse (und Freeware!). In relativ kurzer Zeit kann man zu Resultaten kommen (wenn man weiß, was man will). Ich finde den Gedanken spannend, im Falle, daß für Animation oder Comic! dreidimensionale Referenzen nützlich sein könnten, diese auch mal digital zu modellieren.

At the moment the sky is really covered with clouds to a great extent. So, here is a time-lapse clip from the last weekend. To enhance the atmosphere I added some music that I recorded just today.

Zur Zeit ist der Himmel wirklich ständig von Wolken bedeckt. Deshalb hier, eine Zeitrafferaufnahme vom letzten Wochenende. Für mehr Atmosphäre, habe ich etwas Musik druntergelegt. Erst heute frisch aufgenommen.

amongst slowness

Since traditional animation is slowly but steadily disappearing, my old dream of doing a comic book returned. From time to time I manage to do some drawings that could fit to the one big idea I have.

Seitdem handgezeichnete Animation immer mehr am Verschwinden ist, kommt bei mir dieser alte Traum, ein Comic zu zeichnen, wieder hoch. Manchmal entstehen dann doch Zeichnungen, die zu dieser einen bestimmten Idee passen könnten.
